AE Feedback Responses

 As of right now, I feel decently confident in my AE.  The feedback I have right now leans towards the aspects of expanding it and delving a bit more into certain parts like how technology has impacted our social lives - which is fair since it's only about halfway done.  Overall my feedback was pretty positive and it makes me excited to finish it, though I'm gonna be careful and not let it get to my head.

 Between now and Thursday, I need to write, write, write.  I also need to get into the research I've gathered and actually implement it proper instead of just having it be at the very beginning of being talked about.  I could also maybe delve into my personal experiences a little more.

In regards to giving feedback, I felt pretty confident in providing good points for my peers to build on for their respective AEs.  And through this feedback, I was able to discuss with them and figure out more of what direction they're going for and help with pointing out aspects to go deeper into or think of new facets to carve into their gemstone of an AE - at least I hope I was able to do that.   I'm really excited to see where they'll both go with it, and there's a high chance I'm gonna bug them to see their AEs when they're finished, haha!

  It’s not exactly something I experienced recently, but it still affects me to this day. Response to "Environmental Justice: Writing Urban Spaces"

While I don't doubt that the SHOWED method is effective, it makes me think about how even when confronted with issues that need addressing, some people just don't want to address or fix an issue because it's not something that actively affects them.  There's always some people that, no matter what facts you put in front of them or how well-written your argument is, will never agree with what you say. One section of the reading that I'd like to analyze is the part where the one student was talking about the disparity between areas in North and Northeastern Philadelphia.  It really shines a light on how bad areas can just get worse without the proper funding, and if you live there, then chances are likely that your job doesn't pay you enough so that you can get out of there.  Meanwhile, the richer places just get richer and richer, and the gap between the two areas gets larger and larger.  For both places, it's like an Ouroboros, one with a negative outcome ...

 Response to Ashley J. Holmes' "Public Writing for Social Change" 1.  I think that social media writing can lead to social change, I know that I've seen a lot of tweets that connect to GoFundMe's or information pages on how you can do what you can to give aid to people in Palestine. 2.  To me, an academic citizen is someone who's well-informed beyond the average person and does a lot of their own research for something.  My best example would be my mom, who always reminds me to make sure that I look for more than one report for a piece of news to see what things might've been omitted in one as opposed to another. 3.  I tried the public writing assignment but kept getting distracted with how hot it was outside and just ended up writing a little rant on climate change.  So I suppose that I could use that in public writing, since the environment is a pretty hot (ha) topic right now. 4.  I believe that there's multiple public spheres.  Talking to my f...
