 Response to Ashley J. Holmes' "Public Writing for Social Change" 1.  I think that social media writing can lead to social change, I know that I've seen a lot of tweets that connect to GoFundMe's or information pages on how you can do what you can to give aid to people in Palestine. 2.  To me, an academic citizen is someone who's well-informed beyond the average person and does a lot of their own research for something.  My best example would be my mom, who always reminds me to make sure that I look for more than one report for a piece of news to see what things might've been omitted in one as opposed to another. 3.  I tried the public writing assignment but kept getting distracted with how hot it was outside and just ended up writing a little rant on climate change.  So I suppose that I could use that in public writing, since the environment is a pretty hot (ha) topic right now. 4.  I believe that there's multiple public spheres.  Talking to my f...
 Hey everyone!  My name's Eos, and I'm a Chinese language and culture student.  For this class, I'm hoping to learn a bit more about what public writing looks like in order to differentiate it from academic writing and better learn when to use which type of writing.  I'm greedy for knowledge so I'll take whatever I can learn!
